Water - fresh, salt, rising and falling

Water is the greater part of life - physically speaking. Or, life is the greater part of water, providing it with consciousness and purpose - spiritually speaking (PJM 14.8.04).

Now for some sites of interest:

New Zealand Hydrological Society - is furthering the science of hydrology and its application to the understanding and management of New Zealand's water resources. Next time you see water running down a gutter, please give hydrology a thought, and think about where that water is going. If you see a problem - tell someone! (PJM).

SMALL BOATS

Whither the small boats of New Zealand, the clinkerbuilt, dory, double-ended, blunt-ended, oar-driven, punt, tender, small-boats of yesteryear? Perhaps we can find a few craftsmen lingering in their wood-scented workshops, waiting for the call to dress a plank and launch a dream...

Try this Christchurch punter for example: pricklewoodcrafts, or see woodenboat.net.nz. The wooden boat webring aims for global coverage.
